The resurgence of Palm Springs has made it a top travel destination. Airlines have taken notice with expanded service and new non-stop arrivals from a variety of major cities.
Jet Blue, Virgin America, Air Canada Rouge, United, American, WestJet and others have announced expansions to their existing routes and all new routes as well. From New York’s JFK travelers can now choose nonstop seasonal service on Jet Blue or Virgin America. WestJet covers a variety of Canadian departure cities while United and American both offer seasonal nonstop flights from Chicago O’Hare in addition to their year-round schedules.
Air Canada’s latest announcement has really turned heads: the airline will begin nonstop Vancouver-Palm Springs service in mid-November 2016 utilizing a Boeing 767-300ER aircraft, the largest regularly scheduled airplane to visit Palm Springs. Air Canada’s Rouge service will feature the 767 on its busiest travel days into and out of Palm Springs International Airport.
Toronto-Palm Springs service coming in December 2016
Air Canada has also announced it will inaugurate nonstop service from Toronto to Palm Springs beginning in December 2016 using its mainline Airbus 319 aircraft.
